Benz Martin

Martin Benz, born in 1967, grew up in the Karlsruhe area. He studied Protestant theology in Basel from 1987-92. In 1993, he founded the Vineyard Church in Basel, which he led for 25 years. From 2019-2023 he was pastor of the evangelical Elia church in Erlangen. He is the author of several books and articles in specialist journals. He also works as a lecturer in homiletics and tries his hand at songwriting. In 2011, he was awarded the "Stop Poverty" sermon prize. Since 2016, he has been publishing the podcast Movecast, which has been widely distributed in German-speaking countries. Since summer 2023, he has been working as a freelance theologian, podcaster, author and preacher. He is also a lecturer in theology at the Bienenberg Mennonite Education Center. He lives in Lörrach with his wife Nina and his children.
