Wine cellar
Vineyard
The Merlot grape conquered Ticino 100 years ago: it came, stayed and thrived. Much later, the Malbec grape from the Bordeaux region was also brought to Ticino in isolated cases. This enables a fine blend and enriches the Merlot with 30%.
Southern Switzerland scores with record hours of sunshine, but also suffers from torrential rainfall. This is a challenge for winegrowers – on the stony soils of the Sopraceneri and in the fertile Sottoceneri.
The fine wines, however, quickly make you forget these efforts!
Wine cellar at the Hotel Paladina
We are proud of the fine wines that are stored in our wine cellar.
Fine wine tastings are held weekly and on request in our hotel’s own wine cellar. These are held by the hotel manager, wine and spirits sommelier Simon Lüthi, and offer space for good conversation and pleasant company for everyone: Wine enthusiasts and wine lovers, but also laymen are welcome.
You can taste several Ticino, Italian and other quality wines in a cozy atmosphere.
Have fun!
