Richard Derrer (1977) lives with his wife Miriam and their two boys at the gateway to the Bündner Oberland. He has been associated with God Helps Uganda since 2020, and in January 2024 he took over the operational management of the social diaconal branch of the God Helps Foundation in East Africa in Zizers. In recent years, he has completed a theological education on the second educational path and gained a lot of experience in the intercultural field and in development cooperation. For example, during a 7-year assignment in the Philippines or in setting up diaconal work among refugees in Switzerland. He finds a balance to his often hectic working and family life in a game of Brändi-Dog, reading an exciting book, a delicious Asian meal or a long walk.
