Bernd R. Hock, a native of the Palatinate, was born in 1968 with a severe physical disability. His "degree of disability (100%)" is confirmed by an official certificate. He has been married for over 30 years to Kerstin, with whom he has lived on the outskirts of Hamburg since 1993. Together they have two grown-up children. Hock's life is colorful and varied. On the one hand, the qualified teacher has been running his own practice since 1994 as a state-approved alternative practitioner for psychotherapy, supports teams in social institutions as a coach and consultant and is a popular speaker. On the other hand, he is "DER RAMPENBÄR" (www.Rampenbaer.de)! Bernd R. Hock is a cabaret artist and voice imitator, ventriloquist with his own puppet theater and successfully tours the country with his reading revue "Immer im Rampenlicht!". "Immer im Rampenlicht!" is also the title of the artist's autobiography, which was published by SCM-Verlag in January 2021 and in which he describes with humor and depth how, as a visibly disabled man, he is almost always in the spotlight, always under observation and also has his audience at the checkout in the supermarket.
