Gerda and Manfred Schaller traveled the world for 14 years on the OM ships and had the privilege of visiting over 100 countries. They have been married since 1972 and have 2 biological children and an adopted daughter from Sao Paulo as well as 6 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. They live in Mosbach near Heidelberg. Gerda was a gold engraver, then studied theology, speaker at women's meetings, women's representative of OM Ships International, artist, mentor Manfred was a banker, then studied theology, city missionary, steward, personnel manager and director on an OM ship, board chairman of the shipping company OM Ships (emeritus), today still on the board of the shipping company and preacher of the Baden regional church. He has been working for the IVCG, which is active in 80 locations in Germany, Liechtenstein, Austria and Switzerland as well as in Brussels with around 800 volunteers, for 19 years. The IVCG has an evangelical theological orientation. Manfred Schaller is married to his wife Gerda and has three children.
