Don't forget YOURSELF - love my neighbor as MYSELF

In a world characterized by stress and pressure, there is a great danger that we lose sight of ourselves and our counterparts. The consequences are often frustration, excessive demands, burnout and depression. In this course, you will learn how important self-love and self-care are for your mental health and inner balance. The Bible shows us that love for ourselves is just as important as love for others (Matthew 22:39). On this basis, we will explore together how we can learn to accept and appreciate ourselves and how we can better understand our needs. Through practical exercises and reflections, we will embark on a journey to become aware of our own values and boundaries and redefine them where necessary. You will receive tools suitable for everyday use to deepen your self-care and thereby build healthy relationships with others. The aim is to find a balance between self-care and caring for others - so that a relationship based on respect and appreciation can grow. Come with us on this journey of discovery! Women's Impulse Days - A Good Life - If life gives you lemons, make lemonade out of them.

The Women’s Impulse Days at the Hotel Paladina are a varied vacation week with a pleasant mix of fellowship among women, time for individual design, enjoyment and daily impulses. The theme of the week is ‘A Good Life’. We may not always experience our lives as good – and yet God promises us that he has good plans for our lives. We deal with this area of tension in our very personal lives in small bites every day in order to live our lives as active creators.

Ticino motifs in watercolor

Southern plants, colorful sprouting flowers, palm trees, cypresses, fig trees and vast lakeside landscapes invite you to paint watercolors in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. On excursions we find picturesque alleys and corners in typical Ticino villages, beautiful church architecture and water reflections on the shores of Lake Lugano. Instructions on the techniques and practical tips, some theory on color theory and composition, references to art history and a daily picture discussion encourage the creation of atmospheric and expressive pictures. Experience "geology live" with a hammer and Bible in Ticino

When we compare the information from the media about the origin of the earth and life with what we read in the Bible, many questions arise: - Is it true that everything we see was created by chance and evolution over very long periods of time? - We see mountains and valleys and wonder: How can they have been created? We see mountains and valleys and ask ourselves: How could they have been formed? - Perhaps some of us have already found fossils and wondered what they can tell us about the past? - What can we know about the age of the earth from science and the Bible? During this week, we will take a closer look at the impressive landscape with its different rocks in Ticino as well as the Bible on our geological hikes and excursions! Martin ERNST will offer lectures and Bible studies in consultation with the participants. If the participants are interested, we can also visit a quarry or a natural history museum and observe the objects on site and learn to distinguish between data and interpretations. Program: By arrangement with the participants: Daily Bible studies or lectures or half-day and day excursions in Ticino, some with magnificent panoramic views of the Alps. Detailed explanations on the excursions on geology and intensive Bible studies in Paladina during the week. At the request of the participants, a greater focus can also be placed on the Bible studies! Public transport is included for the excursions / hikes (guest card); mountain railroads and lunch at own expense, insurance is the responsibility of the participants. There is no participation fee, but voluntary donations to GEO-EXX gGmbH are very welcome!

Watercolor painting for beginners and advanced students

The joy of painting, our specialist knowledge and artistic experience have been appreciated and loved by our course participants for many years. The course is suitable for beginners, advanced students and people with minor disabilities. Color theory, mixing colors, various techniques and experimentation are essential components of our course. Insights from development cooperation - God helps - here and there

The story of God Helps Uganda (GHU) began more than 25 years ago. During our theme week, we will get to know Uganda with its beauty, cultural peculiarities and current challenges. We will follow the exciting traces of the work's development and be inspired by the stories of hope that are written in GHU. We will also address the following questions: What are the roots of development cooperation? What motivated the GHU founders to take this far-reaching step? What do experiences from development cooperation have to say to us here and now? In the morning there is a word for the day (approx. 15 minutes). A time slot of approx. 1 hour is scheduled for the weekly topic in the evening. In addition, a workshop on the topic "when helping hurts" is offered one afternoon. This deals with the question of how poverty can be alleviated without hurting the poor (and oneself).

Without me...?!

Without me...?! Without without you, this hiking week will not be as enriching as with you. Without you, your environment will be shaped differently than with you. So think about it: without me! Or with me? Which personalities in the Bible argued with: Without me! Did they miss out on something? Or did they allow themselves to be changed? What was the reason for this? We deal with this in the daily inputs. We are looking forward to hiking together with you, a happy exchange, the hotel with panoramic views and beautiful surroundings, the fine food and, if you like, the games evenings. It would be nice if you would say, I'm in!

Miracles: The "ingredients" of a miracle In the Bible, we read the story of Jesus turning water into wine. It was his first miracle (Gospel of John 2). We can learn a lot from this story. Recognize that God can save the best until last. In John 2:10 (NLB) we read: "You have saved the good wine until now." What looks like a tragedy can become a testimony of God's goodness and faithfulness in your life. That's what we're talking about this Paladina Week. we discover in the Psalms how to deal well with our feelings As God's creatures, we humans are endowed with feelings. They help us to form relationships and manage our lives. Not all of our feelings are genuine and helpful, because our emotional world is also damaged and needs redemption. The Psalms of prayer teach us how we can take our feelings by the hand under the guidance of God's Spirit and His Word. Sometimes, in special moments, we feel very close to GOD. Then again far away, he seems absent, silent. This week we want to go in search of clues. Taking God's friendship and His unconditional YES as a foundation. And ask many questions: What leads to GOD, what leads away from Him? How do we hear the voice of God in everything? In the morning there is a word for the day (approx. 15 minutes) and in the evening an input of approx. one hour.

Family camp 1

Our Paladina Family Summer Camp offers real vacations: whether toddler groups for the little ones, programs for toddlers, teenagers, young adults or inputs for parents and grandparents: The whole family can relax here! For children and young people: Programs under expert guidance fascinate and promote fellowship with one another. For adults (from young to old): There is an input every morning except Wednesday. And in addition: plenty of space for spontaneous play on the grounds, for varied excursions, for families' own needs. Away from everyday life. Vacations, relaxation, recharging your batteries. With all these activities, it is important to us that everyone feels comfortable and can relax and enjoy their vacation. Stories of mercy - rediscovering the mercy of Jesus and letting it shape our image of God

Martin Benz pleads for a completely new discovery of God in the mercy of Jesus Christ. Those who see Jesus see the Father. Through various stories of mercy, our image of God in Jesus can be formed anew and become a strong foundation for our faith.   In the morning there is a word for the day (approx. 15 minutes). A time slot of approx. 1 hour is scheduled for the weekly topic in the evening.

Brush, paste and palette

From the idea to the picture Do you enjoy colors and creative experimentation? Do you want to try something new and give your own creativity space? During this painting week in picturesque Pura, we will playfully immerse ourselves in the world of color and mixed media painting using various techniques. We will be inspired by the beautiful surroundings and colorful nature and learn to experiment with different materials and techniques and transform our own ideas into expressive pictures. Image composition, color harmonies and different painting techniques provide the basis for the design process. In addition to acrylic paint, we work with marble powder, texture paste, chalk, charcoal, collage paper and markers. The buffet of materials is lavishly stocked to allow your creative power to blossom. We accompany you step by step from the initial idea to the finished picture. Art does not remain a dream, but rather an art space opens up in which creative work is possible. No previous knowledge is necessary apart from the joy of experimenting. All materials (excluding canvases) are available during the course and are included in the price. Canvases can be brought along or purchased during the course. Gospel singing week

Joe Koster is a broadly diversified traveler, trained/experienced in music (piano, conducting, choir singing), missions and entrepreneurship. For many years, he managed a personnel consultancy in Zurich and then worked with his wife Ines (nurse and midwife) for a Christian NGO in Hyderabad (India) from 2003 to 2019, where he ran a music school and a choir in addition to missionary projects. Joe has been conducting the Rickenbach gospel choir for some time now. Both are looking forward to sharing their musical and missionary experiences in the gospel singing week. The two previous Gospel Singing Weeks in 2023 and 2024 were a success and the singers were enthusiastic about taking part. We learn and practise older, well-known and newer gospel songs (D/E) together and will perform them for the guests at the end of the singing week. Do you enjoy singing, maybe even have choir experience (reading music is an advantage, but not a requirement)? Then we look forward to your registration! God heals - and if not!

It has been scientifically confirmed that personal faith can be a resource in coping with illness and other difficult life circumstances. Healing miracles still occur even today. At the same time, one-sided religious beliefs can make people even sicker and cause them great inner distress.   Through impulses from the Bible, theology and history and with practical tips for praying for the sick and accompanying those who are suffering, we learn to deal better with this area of tension. During the week, Monika Merz offers an extraordinary jewelry workshop. Participants will learn how to make beautiful finger rings, bracelets etc. from old silver cutlery. You can bring your own old silver cutlery.   There is a small children's program for children aged 3-10 years.

Prophetic seminar

Daniel and Elisabeth are from Israel and serve in the traveling ministry of Revive Europe. Through Daniel's strong anointing for words of knowledge, wisdom, prophecy and revelation for nations, many people are blessed and encouraged. Elisabeth is a prayer and praise facilitator. She is sensitive to the Holy Spirit, gives freedom, sets people free in their gifts. A woman in leadership, founded in the love of Christ. While Daniel offers prophetic prayer for participants on Friday and Saturday mornings, we will also experience teaching and prophetic worship with Elisabeth.
