Wisdom of faith – with delicious tastings
Nice, but naive, unworldly and hostile to pleasure. This is how Christians are often portrayed. Is faith really foolishness, as Paul found? Or is it the path to wisdom, as a well-known psalm suggests?
Find answers for new perspectives and arguments. Uncover pearls of wisdom from the Christian treasure trove of faith. Small tastings in keeping with the theme ensure an informal get-together. Naive and anti-enjoyment was yesterday.
Welcome to the wisdom of faith with delicious tastings. Religious philosopher Dirk Maass and his wife Regina will guide you through the week. Simon Lüthi, director and sommelier of the Hotel Paladina, will accompany them at some of the tastings.
Program:
Sunday - Topic truth with wine tasting: What is truth? Is there an objective reality? And who decides what it is? What did Jesus mean by being truthful?
Monday - Topic purity with beer tasting: Who was Jesus, the Jew? What did he live (not die) for? And why do we hardly know this side?
Tuesday - Theme of darkness with grappa tasting: How can a loving, omnipotent and omniscient God allow suffering? Why is suffering still a mystery today and what is God's position on it?
Wednesday - Theme of beauty with cocktail tasting: What is beautiful about God? Was Jesus beautiful in an aesthetic sense?
Thursday - Topic Freedom: What is a person worth?
